Our screens are hand crafted, very high quality and are made to last for generations. Most are made of mild steel and are designed to be installed inside the fireplace opening with the border to be mortared for a finished look. A basic, rectangular screen starts out about $2,000 to $2,500 and the price goes up from there. Arch top screens are more expensive than flat top, patina finishes are more expensive than brushed steel, smooth finishes are a bit more than textured, the more detailed the appliqué involved in the design the more expensive the screen and, of course, the larger screens are pricier. We're happy to work with you to find a design and finish that will work well for your home. Photos of your fireplace and the room it’s in are very helpful.
Once you decide on a screen design, based on your measurements we will send you a proposal and price. If you decide to order the screen we ask for a half deposit to start the project and the rest will be due before we ship the screen (we can e-mail photos at that point). You will need to ship to us a plywood (press board) template of your fireplace opening to insure that the screen will fit.
